ROV Operator

NL Marine Services is a specialized vessel support and supply company jointly owned and operated by leading aquaculture service providers from Newfoundland and Norway. Our mission is to support the sustainable growth of Newfoundland and Labrador’s aquaculture industry by delivering reliable, high-quality marine services rooted in both international expertise and deep local knowledge.

NL Marine Services Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team in the role of ROV Operator aboard our specialized net-cleaning vessel.

Qualifications:

  • Recognized certificate of training in marine or mechanical field, with formal training in ROV operations considered an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience operating ROV equipment, with experience operating remote cleaners for salmon nets considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and other computer applications.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices within a marine environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the ROV and all systems and subsystems are in proper working order and compliant with all technical requirements.
  • Launch and operate remotely operated cleaning equipment from the vessel.
  • Operate the ROV from a fully equipped pilot station.
  • Maintain the ROV and its associated equipment and carry as required.
  • Promote a safe, respectful work environment and contribute to continuous improvements.
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, with willingness to take on hands-on tasks as needed.

An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. On the-job training will be provided.
